The region of Costa Chica provides many leisure and sport possibilities. The growing spectrum of activities on offer varieties from snorkelling and fishing to rafting and surfing. Away from the water you can pass your time with activities like horse-riding, hitchhiking, visiting agricultural farms or watching the hammocks beeing knoted.

Fishing, Snorkelling, Diving

Do it on your own in any quiet bay or go out with the fishermen in Puerto Angel or Mazunte. They make roundtrips to the next beaches, stop for snorkelling in coralbanks and help you fishing.

Fishing/Snorkelling in Mazunte: Ask for Captain "Juan" - you find them on the western beach-end called "Riconcita". Juan has diving masks and snorkels.

Scuba Diving/Fishing/Snorkelling-Tours "Azul Profundo" in Puerto Angel. The three brothers Chepe, Humberto and Bayo also offer a "pick-up-service" in Zipolite. Snorkelling/fishing tours start between 9:00 and 9.45 a.m. and consist of visiting 4 different beaches, snorkelling twice and fishing. They last about 4 hours and an equipment is included. Horse Riding

Ask for "Hermandos" camp place near of the lagoon (in the center of the beach at Zipolite). He rents horses and guides tours.
