| La Boquilla (translated with “small mouth”) is an enchanting bay easterly of Puerto Angel. When tide is high, the tiny bent beach of 220 meters presents itself perfect for snorkelling and bathing, stones are deep down in the water. From the sea 40 meters of granular white sand lead into the green country. At the back of the beach at high season opens a palm covered restaurant. It’s part of the center “Bahia de la Luna” and its bungalows and apartments, which are really good hidden in the green hills around. How to get there? If you drive from Puerto Angel towards Pochutla turn right after one kilometre (you’ll see a sign “Bahia de la Luna” – Playa Boquilla”). From there runs a gravel road three kilometres down to the beach. At half way you pass the graveyard on it’s left side. All the way from the main street to the beach takes about 45 minutes if you walk. Taxis also drive you to the Playa Boquilla. Last update: 13.11.2003 |
